The Japanese Association of Public Health has established a "Cooperative Member" system that provides those who are interested in the society's activities with the opportunity to participate in the initiative by waiving membership fees. This marks the third year of the system, and many people have already registered. Eligible members are members of societies affiliated with the Japan Federation of Public Health Associations, members of societies that are members of the Association of Social Medicine Specialists, and employees of national or local public organizations who have never joined the society.
