The Japanese Association of Public Health has established a "cooperative membership" system that provides those who are interested in the society's activities with the opportunity to participate in the initiative by waiving membership fees. Eligible members are members of societies affiliated with the Japan Federation of Public Health Associations, members of societies that constitute the Japanese Association of Social Medicine Specialists, and employees of national or local government organizations who have never joined the society.
