The Japanese Society of Public Health has established a "cooperative membership" system that provides those who are interested in the society's activities with the opportunity to participate in the initiative by waiving membership fees. This applies to members of societies affiliated with the Japan Federation of Public Health Associations, members of societies that are constituent members of the Japanese Association of Social Medicine Specialists, and employees of national or local public organizations who have never joined the society.
